It does have the feature to turn down or up the brightness.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Vantop HF612L is a video screen shaped like a rearview mirror that gets mounted to your actual rearview mirror. It can project what the rearview camera is seeing or you can turn the screen off for night view(it still records what both cameras are seeing). It does not have the reflective properties of a mirror, so night viewing with the screen off is good enough for me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It doesn't auto dim as far the brightness of the screen. The camera does adjust to night vision. The screen it pretty easy to change brightness settings. I do wish it had the auto dim though. As far as someone behind you, it won't matter that it auto dims when someone is behind you, it's only a matter of how bright the screen is.
