A:AnswerWe did not try that so I do not know for a fact that it is unlocked but my assumption is that if you switch the SIm Card out for another carrier it would work.
A:AnswerThe specific unit that we purchased was set up to use with Verizon which I am assuming was controlled by the Sim Card which is replaceable. I have never used Google Fi but under the assumption that Google Fi can provide a Google Fi specific Sim Card I would guess the answer is yes but it would be best to check with the Google Fi support function.
A:AnswerIf your service uses Verizon’s network it will likely work on the same horrible level that it does with Verizon. You can use it with other carriers but I can’t say which ones. If they use Verizon’s towers you should be fine if you don’t mind it shutting off multiple times daily and the obvious fire hazard.
A:AnswerIt can support up to 8 devices but Verizon no longer offers a truly unlimited plan, so once you’ve reached your data limit, Verizon will slow the speed down. I’m guessing this would cause streaming to buffer.
I’ve used it before to stream multiple TVs, when my home internet was down. It worked great but I have a true unlimited data plan, with no gigabyte limits.
A:AnswerI see the Best Buy staff doesn't bother to answer many of the questions posted here. So as another person looking here for answers, I will comment on your question you asked months ago, and hope that helps. The Verizon Jetpack will work IF there is a strong enough cell signal from a Verizon antenna in your area. It all depends on how good the Verizon signal is where you want to use the hotspot. You might have an OK signal near a town or major state highway. But that's a BIG rez! Your only possible internet in the more remote areas might be satellite, like StarLink. Maybe there's a government or tribal program to help get rural internet established in your area? Worth asking the people in charge if that's a possibility. Hope you find a solution!
