“I have an old Galaxy S4 tablet from Verizon. It is getting pretty tired [battery lasts less than an hour]. If I buy a new Galaxy Tablet from Best Buy, can I transfer my SIM card to the new unit, or do I need this kit?? Or neither?”

Transfer the SIM. It should work. If not, only use this SIM if you have a prepaid account. Otherwise go to the Verizon store to get it worked out
