• Yes you can; I do this often. The conversion / recording creates a video DVD disc that can be played on DVD players (instead of a "data disc"). You'll just need to make sure that your DVD player can play DVD-R or DVD-RW discs (whichever you choose to use).

• Yes you can play the dvds you create in a regular dvd player
