No and it is so Powerful that when on high it turns off even my highest burner on my new Viking gas stovetop They wanted me to drill vent holes in my cheery wood cabinetry and i declined. So every time i use it, i must open the cabinets under my island cooktop to keep my burners on. Hope this helps. Otherwise Love both the stovetop and downdraft
