Oh man I hear you. We had a technician for Viking out to look at our range and he mentioned the top control buttons are different than what you would expect. You don’t have to push harder- just leave your finger on the button for a few seconds. It apparently responds to continued contact versus pressure. Hope this helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You have to press twice to get the unit on. I don’t recommend a hammer. I also do not care for the top rack. It is plastic so yes recycle it. I really think who ever designed the racks never had to do dishes. They have no ideal on how to load a dishwasher.
