- Answer I paid $40 plus tax for this phone. I already have virgin mobile service, which is $35 per month. I logged in my virgin mobile account, and registered the new phone, and everything works fine.

- Answer You can turn off the cellular data on phone and still connect with wifi. However, whether you pay for a data plan will depend on your carrier I think. For example my plan gives me unlimited talk/text and 500mb of high speed and then unlimited data for $30 month.
