“I want to just change my present Verizon account(phone and number) to visible, is this number porting going to be a big problem? Since there is no ‘human’ help, it seems this could be a real challenge, leaving me with no service. Please clarify….”

Just follow the directions and do your prep work. Get your current account # and a port authorization # from Verizon (a Verizon rep talked to me for this). It's still their circle of companies so they were pleasant. After you have that info, the set up process took me about 15 minutes.
