Yes, this model is capable of grinding coffee beans. The blending bowl starter kit is not needed, you are able to blend in the container that comes standard with the machine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It can probably grind coffee. We have ground oats and grains. I wouldn’t recommend it though. You don’t typically want to pulverize coffee beans. There are some pretty good manual and electric grinders for around $30-$50 with ceramic or steel burrs that will let you vary the coarseness of the grind. I think this vitamix will just get you coffee bean dust potentially useful for espresso.
