  • QuestionIs this Vitamix item offered through 3rd party seller Mallstop a brand new, factory sealed, unopened box? Why is the warranty only listed as 1 year?

    • Answer Hello! The warranty for any Vitamix product is honored when purchased direct or through an official retail partner. When purchased from a third party seller, the warranty will begin as of the original purchase date of the product versus your actual purchase date. Either way, just be sure to register your product after purchasing in order to receive the benefits of the remaining warranty!

At this time, we have not found a suitable glass container design to meet the strict safety and performance requirements we place on our products. With that being said, we continue to research this design and encourage you to stay tuned for updates on new products. Vitamix uses the best materials to produce a high-quality blender that safely performs according to customer expectations. We use only BPA-Free materials including Eastman Tritan for our blending containers. Vitamix uses only FDA-approved materials for any surface coming in contact with food. We have also released a Stainless Steel container that is compatible for use with all full-size Vitamix blenders!     • Answer Hi! Wattage is just amps times volts. So for example, this unit operates at 120V at a current of 11.5 amps. 120 x 11.5 = 1380 watts. We don’t find wattage – or any single measure – to be particularly useful when comparing blenders. Blending efficiency results from the complex interaction of the motor, blades and container design, not from any single factor or number.
