“So I have a Vizio 38" 2.1 Soundbar and fit worked perfectly fine. Though when I accidentally pressed the bluetooth button on the soundbar remote the sound from the tv through the soundbar was cancelled out and I am unable to turn it back”

I have had the same problem. First make sure that you have Bluetooth turned off on both your cell phone, and computer. Apparently if these are on even if you are not streaming music they will interfere with your signal. Next turn the unit on. and off a couple of times either at the remote, or on the unit itself. Turn unit on and just tap the search/pairing button. If this doesn't work disconnect. and then reconnect wires behind sound bar. Turn on and tap search/pairing again. This should solve it
