Connectivity means you need either an admin port that is free, or and optical cable to connect it to your tv. For greatest sound if your tv has an Hdmi port which says next to it that it is an "eARC" port than that is best. You can also use bluetooth connection but you tv has to be able to pair with bluetooth devices. If you have a DVD player to watch movies on a disc than you can connect that to the soundbar too. The sound that this system produces is fabulous. I love it.
