Hello Toby, Check to see if you have the AirPlay icon Apple AirPlay Icon showing on SmartCast Home. The icon will be in the upper right corner next to the Cast icon. Make sure that the AirPlay option is Enabled on your TV. To do this: Go to SmartCast Home by pressing the V button or Home button on your VIZIO TV remote. At the top of the screen select the Extras menu. Highlight the AirPlay option and make sure that On is selected. Make sure that your VIZIO TV and your Apple device are on the same Network name.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not able connect my Mac book either. It could be that the older macs are not compatible but i am able to cast to the tv through my iPad pro with no problem at all. I did notice that I had to click on the cast icon not the Airplay icon.
