“Is simulated surround sound really better than standard sound?”

• It depends on your listening space. I have mine in a bedroom and I do notice a better felling of space with the sim surround on.

• Somewhat. I don't really like it a lot. Better off to get a good sound system to go with it.

• That is a subjective question and would depend upon your specific TV. In my opinion - this VIZIO has wonderful "simulated" surround sound.
