You will need HDMI cables for any devices that are equipped with HDMI that you want to connect to the TV. HDMI is always preferred over component cables because you get digital output and audio through a single cable. Also you shouldn't pay more than $12 for a 6 foot cable or you are overpaying.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It depends on what devices you are using. Everything is straight forward and easy to plug in. There is a cable in for your cable, multiple hdmi's for dvd, games, computer hook up etc, and of course your audio video cables. Hope this helps

As far as easy to plug in, I would say it is on par with other TVs, though you may have trouble getting the power cord to a suitable outlet depending where you place the TV.
