YES!! I have a MBP(Mac Book Pro) and i have this hooked up VIA HDMI. It looks great! Colors are clear and vivid. Watching blueray movies on this TV is great as well. The amount of detail you see in 2160p resolution is great and can sometimes improve the experience of the movie your watching. The only complaint i would have about hooking up a computer to this tv is the latency between the laptop and tv. When you move the cursor around while connected the latency becomes obvious. This didn't bother me too much but i did have to adjust my mouse setting to accommodate the latency. (I lowered the cursor speed.)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You won't get true 4k from a 720p or 1080 source but yes it does upscale from a blu-ray player if you are using HDMI cables. Not sure about the laptop but I would think this will upscale all sources connected via HDMI.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. For best upscaling use inputs 1-4.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does, yes, although it's obviously not going to be true 4k. The blu-ray videos look fantastic on this! I've gotten very close to the TV and it's still hard to notice the pixels on it, so the upscaling is working pretty well.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. A Blu-Ray disc is only going to push 1980x1080. A 4K disc will push 3840x2160. The TV is just a tool for the media to play on. So, if the media is only 1980x1080, that's the highest the resolution you'll get. To directly answer the question, since the Blu-Ray doesn't have the 4K resolution on it to pull from, there's nothing to upscale. An HDMI connect is the standard for high resolution images to be pushed. Again, it's only going to push what the media is capable to do.
