You will have to use your spectrum remote to use cable TV. You will use the TV remote to select the correct input (usually an HDMI port). Then you can use your spectrum remote to power on TV/cable, change stations, and use your DVR. After having the tv for 1 month, I cancelled spectrum cable and purchased Youtube TV streaming services. Love it! And now I only have 1 remote.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You have to use the cable remote, I believe. While using cable we do not use the TV remote. However, if you use streaming, (Netflix, HuLu, etc.), you will use the set remote. This model is a smart TV.
