Mine came with a remote. It's not a "tablet" remote or water that is. It's like a regular normal remote. However the tv lets me use my smartphone as a separate remote with the SmartCast app.

This display does not come with a Tablet Remote. Instead of purchasing a tablet remote you can use a smart phone or tablet you currently own with Android version 4.4 or higher or iOS 8.0 or higher and download the SmartCast App from the Google Play Store or iOS App Store and have the same functions.
