But not sure if I like Viziocast yet. Set up was confusing because no conventional remote. Actual quality of the TV is awesome. Picture is beautiful. I thought the sound was fine but husband insisted it needed a sound bar. However, he's getting older and doesn't want to admit his hearing is going! The sound bar has made it much more enjoyable.

This is an awesome TV with amazing picture. It's not a Smart TV, it just lets you "cast" from your phone or tablet over your wireless network. Any app that you have, (i.e. Netflix, Hulu,YouTube, Pandora) that lets you cast, or stream, to the tv you can watch it on the TV. And with the SmartCast app from Vizio you can use your phone as the remote if you want. You can name your hdmi hookups so you don't have to remember which hdmi port number is for what hdmi system you have connected to the tv. It's a good sized TV, my previous one was about a 38'' screen.

It's easy to set up and start using. Great picture.

Bought the demo/display unit at great price. Used mainly as a computer monitor for editing video and audio projects. Performance and features are outstanding. I have it connected through the RJ-45 (network port) port, but disappointed that the unit cannot be accessed via browser, only through the phone app.

Love it! Picture is superb! Customer support for Vizio was very helpful in helping me setup my television, because at my advanced age this smart television is smarter than me! LOL

The tv worked fine at first. Two weeks later I notice a black line horizontally through the screen. Best Buy has a 15 day return policy. Yeah, missed that. Had to go through vizio. That was a pain because they asked for pictures of the problem and every time I sent them they opened a new case number. So much confusion. It sucks because in the past I've never had a problem. So a week and several phone conversations later, I learn they (Vizio) are replacing my tv. Still haven't figured out the smartcast thing. If you want simple, this tv isn't it.

Great picture and OK sound. For the price you really can't beat this TV. This 4k TV comes with Chromecast built-in so you have access to all the apps that support Chromecast. This TV does not have a tuner so you can't use an antenna or an old school cable without a box. The idea behind this TV is that you rely mostly on Chromecast apps. The remote that comes with the TV is almost completely useless. I would highly recommend using the app on a smartphone or tablet to adjust volume and change inputs. Most of the video selection will happen inside each individual app anyway. If you're looking for a 4k TV with good picture and watch mostly Netflix, Hulu, etc. This is a great option.

This is our 3rd Vizio and we love them all! My only issue with this TV is it came with no remote and have to use SmartCast app on our phones. Sometimes loses connection with the app and won’t reconnect without multiple attempts.

I wasn't really sure what brand of TV I wanted to purchase so I went in with an open mind. The associate suggested several TV's and I ultimately chose this one. The quality of the picture is really good when streaming via apps. Easy set up which is alway great. Only area that I was disappointed in was the remote control. My parents have a laster model and a little bigger and their remote has the smart key for apps like Netflix, which would be great instead of having to use my smartphone as the remote. Other than that everything else is great!

What attracted me to this unit were the simple features and great, cost-conscious display that Vizio is known for. I was looking for a great display to watch content from my Xbox One and Apple TV. Having spent two days with the display, everything I've watched has looked fantastic- Star Wars- The Force Awakens, The Killers Live From the Royal Albert Hall, VEEP, Silicon Valley, and The Night Manager. I haven't had a chance to test any of my games on the display yet but I can't imagine they'd look any worse. Set up was a breeze. I've found the Vizio SmartCast App very responsive and easy to use. While the display is certainly usable without the app, the app makes it that much easier to toggle settings, switch ports, and adjust the volume. While I'm a little disappointed that Best Buy has now added the 43 inch version, the 48 inch version I purchased looks great in my living room and the price point is still very reasonable IMO.

My son was looking for a big flat screen tv with 4K. This was the biggest we could find with 4K in the price range we wanted to spend. He has been very happy with it so far. The only issue was we had to buy an additional device (costing $50) to make all of his equipment work the way he wanted, but it was still a good value.

Easy to set up and cast from phone or laptop. Got the Xbox connected. Looking great so far. Lots of bells and whistles for the money. Nice size in my bedroom. Remote stinks not much documentation, but everything else excellent So far. 4 stars due to remote and interface.

When I originally purchase this tv, I was very disappointed in the supplied remote control. It is a basic on/off and volume control, access to advance features and control was required from a smart phone app. Horrible approach Vizio! This resulted in a terrible user interface with spotty success in connecting the app to the tv. Since then I purchased a 'full' remote control from Vizio for about $5. This has allowed me to have full control of my tv and I now have the desired user experience. I do connect this tv to my desktop PC when working from home, and it has a beautiful display for this use. As for watching tv, it has a great picture as well. I added a low end Vizio sound bar and it provides a great sound.

I'm very happy with the picture and options on this tv. It's functions are very easy to use. 4K is especially vivid. I did a ton of shopping around and this was def the best purchase for the money on a 48-50" 4K tv. The only tiny draw back I could think of is it takes a little while longer than I like to turn on. Must be the Internet functions setting up or something. Other than that very small think You won't be disappointed in this awesome flat screen.

4.5 stars from me. Purchased 7-16-16. Picture seems great but 4k programming is minimal at best. The only reason for not giving 5 stars; two mornings ago, we turned it on and the screen was bleached on all channels. Probably an excessive amount of bright. We have not made any adjustments since its purchase. I shut it off & turned it back on and the screen was normal again. I'm a little concerned... I dont like not having a remote to navigate Instead, this model requires you to use an app on your phone.

This tv is wonderful! The SmartCast app works beautifully on my iPhone 7+. The picture is amazing. I have it set up on wifi and HD cable and blue ray. 240 refresh keeps the action moving without pixelation. I can see the pimple at the root of a whisker. 4K is amazing. Delivery was incredibly fast. I live on Maui and it was delivered from California in 2 days. Worth every Penny.

I got this TV on sale. The picture quality is great. Sound quality is subpar nothing to brag about there. Remote, well, there's not much to it(when you download the ChromeCast app to your phone it can become your remote).The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it only has ChromeCast as in you need a smart device to access the "smart" capabilities of the TV no apps come on the TV and there is no way to download to it. Either way, great for the price, in my opinion.

This TV is actually a monitor since it does not have a tuner built in. The picture is good overall, but the remote is not the greatest. Buttons are small and they are not backlit so finding a particular button on the remote can be difficult. The Monitor should also have a way of disabling the demo mode which has been triggered several times by my wife while trying to control the monitor. The Vizio Cast App is not intuitive, but once set up it works ok.

When I purchased this TV, I was under the impression that I would get the special remote. However, what I got was a very simple remote with a power button, volume controls, channel controls, and input control. The actual remote is an app on your mobile device. Looks nice in pictures but it's kinda annoying having to start the app (takes a while to start) just to change a setting on the TV. There is no on-screen settings like what you're used to in other TVs. Still, the TV was cheaper than other brands in its class.

I love the Visio 4K! The colors are spectacular and I love being able to cast things to the screen. My viewing experience has been greatly enhanced! Super easy to setup. Such a great value! Would definitely go back to Best Buy for my next major purchase.
