“Can I use the subwoofer on its own or do I need the system in order to use the subwoofer?”

• I'm guessing no. The are only 3x ports on the sub: power cable, plug for left rear speaker wire, plug for right right speaker wire. Not sure how you would connect the sub to anything other than this Vizio soundbar.

• The subwoofer receives its signal from the sound bar so you would need the use the entire system together.
