Yes and Yes. HDMI ARC sends the audio signal from all inputs to the soundbar the plus is that it will take the sound level input from the TV source so you can pretty much put away the soundbar remote. I also found this worked over the optical cable input, but if you are after Dolby Atmos, then you have to use the HDMI ARC input. This soundbar also has an HDMI IN so you don't loose the use of the HDMI port on the TV just for sound. It has full pass through support.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This sound bar should work with any device that has a matching audio output such as optical or Analog Stereo. This sound bar does have a learn remote feature that you can program for volume up and down and mute.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have it hooked up to my TCL/Roku TV and the Dolby Atmos does NOT pass thru the HDMI-ARC. Also downmixes 5.1 standard DVDs to stereo. I don't see this a a full passthru. Is there a setting I am missing? All my settings are default. Only had it a week and not happy.
