Yes, in order to get Dolby Atmos your blue ray player has to be Atmos enabled.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. You will need to connect a 4K UHD Blu Ray player or a streaming device capable of Atmos output (e.g. Apple TV) to the soundbar to get the Atmos effect.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, but you have to a tv that has the hdmi arc input which should be hdmi input 1. This input has to be used for Atmos speakers to work. You can even put the soundbar into virtual Atmos mode so the soundbar will try to create Atmos sound for movies and tv shows that are not delivering true Atmos sound. When this works it sounds great! But...currently there is an issue with the hdmi arc feature not working properly.this is the feature that auto detects when you turn on a device to watch (such as ever, cable box or streaming app) and the soundbar should turn on as well. The problem is, it turns on but the sound does not work through the device you are using. This is a random issue. I had to return this system. It has a great sound but this arc issue will drive you crazy trying to get the sound to work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Atmos code is in the content of a movie that has this feature, the "raw" audio would get process by the sound bar and perform accordingly...
