The vizio Elevate definitely sounds better than the previous model. Voices and clear and even with it being a smaller sub, it hit loud and hard. Definitely and improvement over the previous model

The 8 inch vs 10 inch sub is negligible. The Elevate has eArc, the Vizio SB46514-F6 doesn't, but if your TV doesn't have eArc, won't matter anyway. The Elevate is capable of DTS-X, the Vizio SB46514-F6 is not. Wider soundstage on the Vizio Elevate with non Atmos, stereo or 5.1 content. Verdict? Should be an easy decision. As for me I'm weighing the new Samsung HW-Q950T against the Elevate until I see some real industry reviews on it.
