I've got the cx its working great. I don't have any popping noises when switching audio formats or anything like that. I've heard it too. I haven't experienced it and I've tested this bar well. Many tvs don't have earc set up correctly just yet. Also, our settings need to be set to passthrough after you set earc, or else sometimes the TV makes the wrong decision. Nothing major, but if you leave it on auto instead of passthrough, sometimes the TV will put it into pcm whereas if it were in passthrough, you'd get whatever the source called for and the bar would recognize say...5.1lpcm instead of stereo pcm. I'm making it seem worse than it is. Download the app, and only use earc until there's a firmware update...the hdmi ports on the bar aren't fully functional yet...that's where the people are having their problems. Bar doesn't like to pass atmos or Dolby vision when plugging directly into it. Earc works absolutely perfectly. And the app is the best way to tune the speakers. Sorry for the length. Hope this helped. Oh, ive spoken to vizio, who spoke with their engineers, and the inputs on the bar aren't working properly in some cases. They know it and its getting addressed with firmware in the near future.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I noticed the other person's response noted he had no problems but I've had nothing but problems with my LG CX. It's been a real nightmare. When this thing works right, it sounds phenomenal compared to higher end sound bars. But there is cracking literally everytime you change input, sound format or even to hdr. There's also the issue of sound delay. Any time audio stops and comes back on, it will take 2-3 seconds for sound to start playing. Another annoyance. THe sound does not crack with earc off, but I have audio sync problems (cannot be fixed through tv or app as it makes it more delayed) specifically with gaming consoles. Dolby atmos works everytime though but between the cracking and popping and sound lag (This is only on PCM, the best quality ofcourse) this product does not work in it's current state and doubtful they will have firmware fix. You have until 16th to return unless you've already bought it as this is month old post now.
