• It connects to the TV with optical or RCA or 3.5 mm. The Bluetooth is for connecting a cell phone or tablet to it to play music.

• There is no need to use BT from you TV. You can use optical cable and it works fine. The system gives out great sound with the optical cable. The cable is included in your purchase btw.
