• My Vizio 5.1 Surround System does not need to do this. I can hear voices clearly, without trying to localize to rear speakers. This was one of my major concerns before purchasing. The Geek Squad set mine up for me, and balanced it as well. I hope yours can work this well, when correctly balanced.

• I don't think so. You can cut off the sub and small speakers and just use the sound bar.
