QuestionMy Vizio 5.1 sound system is connected to my Phillips TV. All components work, but the sound is not separated into left and right channels, for the sound bar or the rear speakers (always playing the sound through all channels). How do I separate channels?

QuestionQuick question - on the remote, under the “Level” setting what’s the difference between subwoofer and bass. They show up as two separate settings.

- Answer The Subwoofer gain turns up the power going to it.. The bass gain adjusts the amount of bass rumble you want in the sub.. Some people want to here the sub but with not so much bass an others might want more bass not so loud.. Hope this helps

- Answer Yes. I have the LG 65" nanocell with the magic remote. Soon as I plugged it in to the TV. The TV found the sound bar and mutes the TV and the volume on the remote controls the sound bar.

- Answer In VIZIO Sound Bar Systems the components are self-contained and balanced. This means and external devices could throw off that balance and not able to be added.

QuestionIs it possible to connect the satellite speakers to the sound bar without the subwoofer? I know they can’t connect directly but is there possibly a third party adapter or something that would allow me to use the satellite speakers without the subwoofer?

QuestionThe subwoofer keeps disconnecting from the soundbar intermittently for a couple seconds. How can I fix this?

- Answer Some people have gotten success by relocating the sub. Reports suggest the sub is susceptible to interference from nearby modems, cable boxes, or being too far from soundbar. My solution was to return the darn thing and purchase a LG SNR7 soundbar. Now, happy camper.

QuestionHow do you do a firmware update if this model will not work with Smartcast App? I purchased this Nov 2020 and now the unit will not work with my TV. It will still play music via BT, so I know the unit works.

- Answer Exactly, put the small speakers behind & on each side of your seating (couch), with your bass box on side of your seating (couch). Sounds great, especially with a action pack movie.....

- Answer Yes, the two small speakers connect with wires to the wireless subwoofer, but it will work without them. They do help a lot, especially in a larger room.

QuestionIs it possible for multiple HDMI devices to read this as 5.1? I have 3 HDMI slots and 3 devices (1 arc), but only the one have using the passthrough and native tv apps register the extra speakers. Everything else only recognizes the sound bar itself.

- Answer The watts output is 50, but if that sou ds like a small amount, trust me it is plenty. The volume gets quite loud. If you have a very large area, you might concider higher watts, but how high do you want to go? I can blast the speakers and i havent had the volume up half way and it is plenty loud and i am one that likes loud explosions and gun shooting a d music , and i am very happy.
