Questionhow do you collect the sound from a dvd player thru the sound bar

- Answer The sound bars plays any sounds coming from the tv, so if you plug a dvd player to the tv the sound will go to the tv and then out to the soundbar.

QuestionDoes this sound bar have a night setting?

- Answer Yes but honestly it's not very good. My old sound bar has a night button and turned off the subwoofer and killed the bass. It was great. This one kinda just amplifies the center while lowering the bass, but the subwoofer still hits a little hard. It's not really much of a difference.

- Answer I connect my Insignia Fire TV with HDMI/ARC, no problems. Auto sense on power up and volume control with tv remote. Adjusting all volume levels, Great Sound but too powerful for bedroom. Living/Family room is awesome for Music/Sports or Movies.

QuestionIs there a setting to easily have only the two small speaker on but not the front one? Sometimes at night, I would prefer that because I would have them close to me so that I can have the volume low and I don't disturbing roommates and neighbors.

- Answer As far as I know, No. Even with the LCD remote control options, the center speaker stays on. The remote-rear speakers are not continuous sound.

- Answer IPhone or Android, not in that order, can connect to Soundbar via Bluetooth. Not Alexa. You will want the device used for music to be close by, as volume is controlled by that device and not Vizio system remote.

- Answer The rear speakers are "not" continuous, as the voice is generally center channel. Your looking for extended sound, 2 speaker type system.

- Answer VIZIO uses regular RCA connections. Generic or custom cables can be used. No need to replace speakers.

- Answer If you are wanting to use the pass through feature on the sound bar, you will need to connect the sound bar to the TV with an HDMI cord, and then connect the cable box to the sound bar with a second HDMI cord. If you do not want to use the pass through feature, you will need to have the cable box and the sound bar attached to your TV with their own HDMI cords.
