Yes. The 50" model has 400 nits. The 55" m7 model has 600 nits. The 55" m8 model (exclusive to Amazon) has 800 nits. They all have different numbers of dimming zones also. If you want a 50" TV you might want to look at the Hisense H8G. It has 700 nits and 90 dimming zones.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The models on Amazon are the 2019 variants, not the new models. Not even Vizio's website has the specs for nit brightness or # of local dimming zones for the new m7 or m8's. The 2020 models have "Q7/Q8-H1" at the end of them, i.e. M50Q7-H1. M55Q8-H1/M65Q8-H1. None of those models are available on Amazon, or anywhere. Vizio's site currently only lists Walmart when you click "buy now" but they are out of stock.

Both the M65Q8 and M55Q8 variants are Amazon exclusives, and they get the M-Series’ top picture specs with 90 local dimming zones and 800 nits of peak brightness. The Q7 variants are available on Amazon as well as many other retailers. The 55- and 65-inch Q7 models have 30 local dimming zones and 600 nits of peak brightness, while the 50-inch model has 16 local dimming zones and 400 nits of peak brightness.
