• No the tv is not HDR capable. No software update will make it be, The only Vizio that supports HDR is the R-series which is true Dolby Vision

• No, this panel is not capable of producing the range of colors necessary to be an HDR TV. It's going to be a while before they (HDR sets) come down to this price level..
