The 1080i content, I'm guessing, is from a cable box. It won't upscale the content supplied to it.

If the content you're watching is not displaying in 4k, then it isn't originating from it's source in 4K. Example: If you're watching live TV, the program you're watching may not be broadcast in 4k. We'd recommend either contacting your cable or satellite provider to see if they offer any 4k content, or trying an application such as Netflix or Vudu that we can confirm have 4k content available (Additional subscription fees may apply with these apps to view 4k content)
