No, it doesn't. There's an option called 'Auto Motion' or 'True Motion' or something like that but it's off by default. You CAN turn it on if you like and get that soap opera look...

If "clear motion" is turned on the frame rate will be higher and will have the "soap opera" effect. If this function is turned off the display will use the normal frame rate.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The 1080p M series has a "Smooth Motion Effect" which seems to enhance the video frame rate and impart a video cast to the image. This setting is Very useful for watching sports or animated features. The setting will make most movies (esp. those shot originally on film at 24 fps) appear odd, like a live video feed.You can toggle this feature on or off.
