A:Answer This is important to remember, all HD TV's being built today (if being used in any room larger than a closet) will require a sound bar or sound system. These TV's do not have room for large speakers to be put inside. I believe that 90% of the TV's being made today only come with two small 10watt speakers inside. By use of technology and virtual surround sound and/or some sort of Dolby technology, they can sound okay but the sound is lacking because of the comparative size of the TV and how great the picture looks. This question is always asked...it will always be the same answer, get a soundbar with subwoofer or at minimum a soundbar, but if you are investing in an expensive TV, they make some good 4k blu-ray all-in-one sound systems. The latter is the better way to go in my humble opinion, but a soundbar is going to be needed if you want that movie theater experience. You are comparing two 10watt speakers with 100watt to 1000watt depending on what you buy...that should say everything right there. Subwoofers can be placed anywhere in the same room as the TV, preferably a corner or if not, somewhere out of your way. Subwoofers give you the bass that will give you that movie theater experience. There are tons of choices and you don't have to spend an arm and a leg. Happy shopping and stop asking this question, look at how thin these TV's are...with everything else inside them, do you really think they will have amazing sound??? Good luck!
