“I noticed vizio m55-e0 has vm50 ultra hd engine and vizios m50-e1 does not. Does anyone know what the vm50 ultra hd engine is and why m55 has it and m50 doesnt? Ive read for true hdr 10 you need a 55" or larger to get it. Is this the reason why? Thanks.”

It sounds like you’re confusing the M50-D1 with the M50-E1. The D1 is the older model, is not XLED, and has inferior HDR. The E1 is the XLED and should be equivalent to the M55 E0 in terms of core-technology included.
