“We just bought a vizio 55" P series tv after much research, but the picture quality does not seem good as our plasma was; especially at angle--is washed out. Cable TV will send us a new receiver for 4K, but is there a fix for the side angle fade?”

I’m guessing (hoping) you have the tv mode set to vivid and the color temperature set to cool, also the black detail set to high. This tv is is just as bright and clear as all the upper end OLED TVs...

To keep it simple, some TVs are built for greater viewing area than others. I would recommend searching for another brand of tv such as LG OLED for a wider viewing angel. Or any other OLED TVs would be your best bet. Hope this helps.

With any LCD television you will lose a bit of picture quality when viewing from any sharper angles. This is inherent with the television and there is not a setting that will resolve this.
