A:Answer Yes, but it varies by individual unit. Thankfully, Best Buy makes it easy to exchange if the variation is unacceptable.
Clouding, low-luminosity/non-functioning LEDs, poor audio isolation were/are also present. (Also, my replacement unit looks like someone placed a clamp on one of the screen corners.)
I'm going to try one more time, and then switch to Sony's X900E or X900F if I can't get lucky on the 3rd shot.
Again, as much as I'm frustrated with Vizio's uneven build quality, I'm in love with Best Buy's assistance.
