After much research I purchased this specifically for Xbox One 4k HDR gaming and it's excellent, both myself and my son love it. There are better HDTV's for gaming if you read all the detailed reviews, but they are almost all much more expensive. I was looking for the most bang for the buck and trying to spend around $500 and I couldn't be more happy with the 55" M-Series. Be aware the smaller sizes don't have all the local dimming zones, so if you want the full M-Series quality you need to buy 55" or larger.

This television should work great with an Xbox One S.
