Is this screen direct lit or edge lit? null

It’s an OLED, so neither of those terms apply to it. Each pixel is their own light source, so kinda like direct lit, but perfect. When a pixel is black, it’s turned off and perfectly black. Picture below is a camera phone so not perfect, but you can see the 1” or so black bands that Disney+ puts on are not visible

OLED stands for ‘Organic Light Emitting Diode’. This refers to the panel that’s used inside an OLED TV. Each individual diode is lit up and produces the color desired.
