• Yes, by opening up the smartcast app, it is at the top left of the screen with other volume and screen control functions.

• Yes, any apple or android product that you can download the SmartCast app. Although having to going into the app do this is annoying. I use my Bose surround sound universal remote to power it on and off. But I do use the app if I need to adjust the picture for any reason.
