Our VIZIO SmartCast products utilize a built-in ChormeCast system that allows our customers access to thousands of apps to watch whatever content they would like. As this technology is breaking new ground in the home entertainment industry we are constantly working on improving our customer experience with updates to our SmartCast App and the features available. To help save some battery life on the Smart Phone or Tablet you are using to cast content you can cast the content and then lock the device so the screen shuts off. The content isn’t actually playing from your device but telling your display to go get the content from the service you wanted to watch such as Netflix.
