I have Dish and yes the remote works and super simple to set up!!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The TV menu is accessed through the VIZIO SmartCast™ Remote app. A Dish or Comcast remote may be able to operate basic functions such as power and volume. The Dish and Comcast remotes would still be capable of controlling their respective cable or satellite box. There are no apps built into the display. SmartCast™ is built directly into the display, so you would be able to Cast hundreds of apps from a smart phone or tablet. Thanks! -Randal
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought this tv a week ago and I think it's stupid to pay this much money for a tv and you have to download an app on your cell phone to get it to do things that you need . They send you a cheap basic remote as they call it , it does very little . I was on the phone for over an hour trying to get my iPhone connected to the tv with Vizio help and it couldn't be done , Vizio blamed apple ! So I packed up their stupid smartcast tv and took it back and bought me another LG and guess what ? Theirs comes with a fully functional remote !!
