• First, it's not a TV, it's a 4K Monitor with Audio/Visio inputs. It has no tuner. It does however support Google "casting". So you can Cast from a Smartphone/Tablet/PC(using Chrome). It is NOT a Smart TV as people usually define the term.

• It is "smart" by virtue of having google cast built in and a tablet remote that can cast to the home theatre - but it isn't technically a "TV", in that it does not have a broadcast tuner.

• A Smart TV is often referred to as a TV with built in smart Apps (Netflix, Amazon, ect) Vizio differs this time around. Their Apps are ran through an android tablet included with the TV. You have the ability to stream all the apps to your Vizio set. They did it this way to make your TV future proof allowing for new apps that come out after you purchase your TV.
