This all depends on your mount. Most mounts made for TVs this size span a wider section than what matches up to the VESA 400x400 on the back of this TV. This is intentional because you want to catch at least 2 studs (which are usually 16" apart). There's a really good chance that wherever you want to mount the TV isn't dead center between two studs. That means the mount on the wall will be off to one side or the other in relation to dead-center of the TV. The bracket on the back of the TV can then slide a little bit one way or the other to center up within your space
