• Hello pulp, the distance between outer stand legs is 54.80". Here at VIZIO we design and test the TV with it's current leg stands to help reduce the chance of a tip or fall as much as possible. There may be other universal stands on the market, but we only supply the recommended stands with the TV at this time.

• The legs are on the ends of the tv so you need a big enough stand if not you will have to hang it . Hope this helped
