“Do I need a receiver for this sound system and a blu ray player?”

• Not required but this sound system is so good it would make either sound great. And it is Bluetooth compatible so no need for wires.

• A receiver would not necessarily be needed. The system is rated at 100 dB which is more than enough to shake an ample sized room. There is no blu-ray player built in, so yes you would need that.
