QuestionHow do I get the sound bar to turn on when I turn my tv on? Every time I turn the tv off, the sound bar stays on; then I turn the sound bar off with the sound bar remote. When I turn the tv back on, I have to cycle through the input to turn sound back on

- Answer Josh, if you want it to turn off and on by itself, you have to have the eco mode turned OFF (I know that sounds odd). I had the same problem and called Vizio and that is what they told me to do. Worked like a charm. Apparently eco mode negates the turning off when the TV goes off due to the SmartCast function of the TV.

QuestionAre they placed at the back of the room and are they wireless and placed independently from the sub woofer

- Answer The Bluetooth sub-woofer sits at the back of the room and has a cord for power. The two satellite speakers are then plugged in via audio cables (one per) to the sub-woofer. For my set-up I have the sub-woofer next to the couch, and (easily and quickly) installed the satellite speakers to the wall directly behind the couch. 95% of the cords are obscured. It's a good set-up.

- Answer Thank you for a great question! Definitely! The soundbar and subwoofer will be wirelessly paired together, and only need their own power connections. The satellite speakers will plug into the subwoofer. Thanks again and have a great day!

- Answer It comes with brackets that mount on the wall with wood screws (not included) and then the speakers hook on to the mount.

- Answer This soundbar DOES NOT support 4K pass through. What does this mean? It means you cannot connect, for example, an XBOX One S to the soundbar and then out to the tv via HDMI and still maintain the 4K signal.

- Answer By pressing the Menu button on the sound bar remote, you can then use the up/down arrow buttons to select various options. QuestionI have the Vizio 38" 5.1 Bluetooth Soundbar with the subwoofer, and two satellite speakers. I have it connected to a Sony XBR65X930D 4K TV. I am having lip sync issues. Any ideas to remedy? Both the items were bought at Best Buy. Very Frustrated.

- Answer Cycle through the options on the remote the unit comes with. Find "AV Delay" option and adjust up or down to match any audio delay.

QuestionI have a Iomega streaming device which is connected to Onkyo receiver...receiver sends video via hdmi to TV. How can I use this Vizio here?Can I completely remove the receiver and connect the Vizio for sending video to TV via HDMI? how many hdmi i/o port?

- Answer With this particular sound bar, you CAN eliminate the receiver. The sound bar has surround decoding software/hardware just like your Onkyo receiver does. Since this particular Vizio sound bar has an HDMI output, it passes the video signal from the source thru the sound bar and on to the TV. If you have more than 1 video source I would suggest getting an HDMI switch (not a splitter) to connect your multiple sources to the single HDMI input on your sound bar. An example of an HDMI switch is listed below. This sound bar has 1 HDMI input and 1 HDMI output. I hope this helps.

QuestionI have a Denon AVR e400 receiver I'd like to integrate with this soundbar since re- habbing our living room eliminated wired speakers. The Denon has all the latest tech. and every connection plus Apple Air Play, B/T ect., Plz explain SmartCast. TNX

- Answer Tim, Google SmartCast or Google Casting is similar to Apple Airplay. I have almost all Apple Products (iPhone, iPad, and MacBook Pro), and I use the SmartCast feature everyday. It is very simple to use. You open a SmartCast enabled app (such as spotify, slacker, youtube, etc.) and start playing music. There is an icon on the screen that you tap, and it asks you which Smartcast you want to send it to (I have three different smartcast products in my home, my TV, Soundbar, and Roku box) tap the device you want to cast to, and it magically transfers the sound to that device. It is super easy to setup, super easy to use, and very very handy. I have not had such good luck with Apple Airplay.

- Answer The 5, 3, and 2 refer to the number channels, or more specifically, the number of speakers a system uses. the "point 1" means the system has a separate sub woofer. In a sound bar system all of the front speakers are in the same long box or bar if you will. The center channel speaker almost always carries only the dialog for TV shows and movies that are encoded for surround sound. The rear L and R speakers and the sub woofer in a surround sound bar system are in their own separate enclosures. A 5.1 channel system uses 6 speakers. A left front, right front, center channel front (in the same enclosure for sound bar systems), left rear, right rear, and subwoofer speakers. These are surround sound systems. A 3.1 channel system uses 4 speakers. A left front, right front, center channel front (in the same enclosure for sound bar systems), and a sub woofer. No surround speakers but some systems may include some type of simulated surround sound processing utilizing the left and right front speakers. A 2.1 channel system uses 3 speakers. A left front, right front (in the same enclosure for sound bar systems), and a subwoofer. I hope this was helpful.

- Answer There are 3 speakers in the sound bar. left, center, and right. To the best of my knowledge and how they sound, they are all 3 full range speakers. I hope this was helpful.

- Answer They would function as manufactured. They would run similarly but not the same as the 5.1 is meant for the satellite speakers to be connected. You would loose the rear audio.
