It depends on how the surround sound content is mixed. But typically the rear speakers are used for specific audio to provide a sense of space and realism to the video content. I hope this was helpful.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, what i have notice is the satelite speakers and sub will mostly only pick up what the song or sound has programmed. Depending on the broadcast you can get more or less sound. Sound written for surround works really well. Using the bluetooth with Iheart radio sounds great!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not a crazy question! If you're playing a 5.1 mix of a movie or program you will hear discreet sound from each of those little guys. But, you can toggle for other listening modes and get a 5.1 sound when you're playing your iPod/music and streaming music. It's pretty great.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine have not been playing full sound. the purpose is to created the surround sound experience so there are a lot of other noises the rear speakers play that you wouldn't really hear otherwise and it's really cool. I haven't looked into whether or not that could be changed because I like it the way it is, but there definitely could be a way to change that, sorry if that doesn't answer your question!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If watching content with 5.1 audio you will get the true surround experience where background noises will be present. If watching content without a 5.1 audio there will not be audio from the satellite speakers unless the Surround Sound option is turned on. The Surround Sound option, when enabled, will have all inputs produce a 5.1 sound.
