“I bought this system to connect to the Optoma HD142x Projector. Projector only has two HDMI inputs and a single 3.5 audio output. Does using the 3.5 cable diminish the sound quality of the speakers? Does it take away from the surround sound experience?”

• The 3.5mm audio cable will not carry surround sound, it is limited to the left and right stereo channels. The sound quality will be worse than any of the other input options. A better option would be to connect your source device to the soundbar's HDMI In and the projector to the HDMI Out.
