Hdmi, axillary and other different ways to connect.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has a few different ways to connect to your TV. HDMI, 3.5mm to RCA (red/white), and a digital optical cable. It comes with all of these cables which is nice. I use the digital optical cable and it works great. I didn't even know my TV had that input until I got this sound bar. I am sure your TV most likely has one too.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In your situation, I would connect this sound bar in the following way... I would buy an HDMI switcher (not a splitter, but a switcher). The switcher will have multiple HDMI inputs (2, 3, or 5) and 1 HDMI output. Let's say you have a cable or satellite box, a DVD player and a Roku. You would first connect your HDMI output from each of your sources to an HDMI input on the switcher. Then connect an HDMI cable from the output of the switcher to the HDMI input on the Vizio sound bar. Then connect an HDMI cable from the HDMI output on the sound bar to the HDMI input on your TV. If your TV has an HDMI input marked HDMI(ARC) which stands for "Audio Return Channel", use this as the HDMI input from your sound bar. If you then connect anything else to your TV on the other HDMI input, the audio will also go to the sound bar as well without having to go thru the switcher. This setup only works with sound bars that have an HDMI output - most don't but this one does. I hope this was helpful.
