• SB4051 has the Flat sub-woofer SB3851 has the regular speaker box style sub-woofer

• The SB4051 has the low profile Subwoofer that can fit under a couch or be stood on its side under an end table. The sb3851 has the more traditional cube shaped Subwoofer.
